World Series: Brewers and Rays play Game 3 tonight in Tampa with Milwaukee up 2-0

St. Petersburg, Florida — The 2026 World Series resumes tonight at Tropicana Field, where the Tampa Bay Rays will look to use home field to cut their 0-2 deficit against the Milwaukee Brewers, in Game 3 of the series, at 8:00 p.m. Eastern, broadcast on FOX and FOX Deportes.

Milwaukee won the first two games at home: Game 1 by 3-2 on Friday and Game 2 by 5-4 on Saturday, after rallying from a 4-0 deficit in the first inning, with a Sal Frelick home run that tied the game in the sixth inning and the winning run driven in by Cooper Pratt in the seventh.

It will be the Rays' first World Series game at home since 2008, as their previous appearance, in 2020, was played in the pandemic bubble. Both franchises are seeking the first championship in their history: the Brewers reached the World Series only once before, in 1982, when they fell to the St. Louis Cardinals, while the Rays lost the 2008 final to the Phillies and the 2020 final to the Dodgers.

As part of the pregame festivities, former Rays manager Joe Maddon, who led the team to its first World Series in 2008, will throw out the first pitch, and Grammy-winning country singer Carly Pearce will perform the national anthem. Pearce released her fifth studio album, “Honest Woman,” on August 28, and wrapped up her latest tour on October 22.

According to the game fact sheet, the announced starters are Freddy Peralta for Tampa Bay — who spent his first eight major league seasons with Milwaukee — against Robert Gasser for the Brewers. The series continues with Game 4 on Tuesday the 27th and, if necessary, Game 5 on Wednesday the 28th, both in Tampa, before a possible return to Milwaukee for Games 6 and 7.
