Dominican Republic: Partial closure of the 6 de Noviembre highway tonight for beam installation in Quita Sueño
Santo Domingo — The Ministry of Public Works and Communications (MOPC) announced that a partial closure of the 6 de Noviembre highway will take place this Friday, October 30, at the intersection with the Quita Sueño exit, due to work to install beams for the motorized and pedestrian overpass in that locality.
The work is scheduled to begin at 10:00 p.m. this Friday and end at 5:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 31, a period during which measures will be applied to keep traffic flowing in the area, according to the official statement.
As part of the detours, one lane of the 6 de Noviembre highway will be open in each direction in the work area. Drivers will also be able to use the Santo Domingo beltway and the Sánchez highway as alternate routes.
The operations will be supported by agents from Digesett, Intrant and Comipol, who will assist traffic in the area. Public Works urged drivers to take the necessary precautions, respect the signs placed at the site and follow the guidance of traffic agents and work personnel.
The institution apologized for any inconvenience these works may cause and noted that they are part of efforts to improve road connectivity.
