Abinader resumes his agenda at home on Sunday with a tour of three provinces

President Luis Abinader will resume his official activities in the Dominican Republic on Sunday with a tour of three provinces, after completing a busy working agenda in Madrid, Spain, the Presidency said on Friday.

The day will begin at 11:00 a.m. in Santo Domingo Este, where the president will lead the handover of property titles to families in the El Almirante neighbourhood, as part of government efforts to guarantee legal security and the right to property for thousands of Dominicans.

The tour will continue in Monseñor Nouel province, where Abinader will inaugurate the Juan Pablo Duarte Government Offices Building, a facility that will house public offices, and a school. In Villa Altagracia, in San Cristóbal province, he will inaugurate another school.

Abinader travelled to Spain to take part in the 30th Ibero-American Summit, held in Madrid, and in Dominican Week in Spain, which included a business breakfast with the Ibero-American Business Council (CEAPI) and a visit to the new headquarters of UN Tourism. Spain is the third-largest foreign investor in the Dominican Republic, with cumulative investment of US$5.328 billion.

During his absence, Vice President Raquel Peña took over the official agenda as acting president and led the events in San Cristóbal on Friday marking the 182nd anniversary of the Dominican Constitution.
